How do I find my way around the Thomas’ Web Store?
Our website is set up in much the same way as our store. This enables you to browse by genre, when you may not know exactly what you are looking for. Or you can search all fields and entries with any word formation. Eg: Beethoven Karajan will find all references to Beethoven and Karajan in any format.
What if I can't find an item using a catalogue number?
The catalogue numbers used in the Thomas’ Web Store are those used by the record companies. However magazines and reviews and the various online sellers will frequently quote an incorrect number. For example a typical Philips catalogue number, recognised by both the Philips computer system and our database, is 4622872 but can be reproduced in a magazine as 462 287-2. If you input this number to our database you will get a 'No Match' message. If this happens, try again using a combination keywords from title, artist, composer, conductor, or record company.
What if I can’t find any reference to what I want?
Don’t panic. We may not have had it before, so it may not be in our database yet. You can email us your query and we will endeavour to obtain it for you – and from then on it will appear on our website. Our web data is obtained from our shop data and is by no means a complete catalogue of the plethora of CDs and DVDs available.
